Dorset Women CIC and Women in Tech Dorset are hosting a Stakeholder Workshop to consider gender and work in Dorset and collaborate to tackle the inequalities that particularly affect women and girls.
FACT: When people face systemic barriers in education, training, work opportunities and leadership because of their gender, we all lose.
The gender pay gap, stereotypical roles and education, and unbalanced representation on boards and leadership, are not just “women’s issues”- they create an economic and social challenge that affects every school and college, every board, every business, and every community across Dorset.
Our ambition is to make Dorset the best place to live and work – a place where people of every gender drive innovation, thrive in their communities, and enjoy equal opportunities to work, progress, and lead.
This workshop kick-starts that intention, bringing key people together to find solutions that break down the barriers that prevent anyone from finding and staying in work because of their gender. Especially women and girls.
